I never really thought it was worth mentioning, until a couple days ago I walked by when it had the top down and noticed it was a manual. Good for them.
(Not actual picture, their's has a black interior.)

I don't understand why there were so many E36 verts sold. Buckets upon buckets of them, man!

Black convertibles with tan leather always remind me of dress shoes.

I learned to drive in an e36 convertible when I was a teenager. Auto though. It was a TURD.
It was actually two e36s, that my old man bought 3ish years old. The first was a '94 325i, and it was profoundly underpowered. From a stop, stomping the throttle would actually make you wonder if the engine had stalled. The 2.5 made approximately zero ft*lbs under 3500 RPM, and whatever rear end was in it worked out to 45 mph at the end of first gear. The '97 328i that replaced it had (a little) power off the line thanks to a more aggressive (35 mph) rear end and narrower intake runners.
Both cars disintegrated in front of us. The door panels delaminated. The top was eternally broken. Even when new, the rear window might as well have been wax paper. The leather cracked, split, and rotted. If you turned up the stock stereo, all 4 stock speakers would blow out. Having the car in south Florida and stored outside surely contributed, but plenty of other cars hold up to that just fine.
Drove great though. An e36 M3 (with a fictitious immaculate interior) is on my short list.
